Dee is a Union Springs resident who is a retired educator with over 30 years of experience working with disabled students. She holds a PhD from Syracuse University in higher education.


She published a book titled Beautiful Children about the first school in the United States for children with intellectual disabilities.


Upon retirement, she continues her interest in disability history research. Dee is a member of a group planning a museum through the Smithsonian Institution in Washington, DC.


Come and listen to Dee Katovitch present this program. Following her presentation, there will be coffee and cookies and time to ask further questions of Dee.
